University 5.0
A model in which research, artificial intelligence, education and project work continuously inform and transform one another.
EduOS Lad connects events, tasks, educational actions, competencies, data and participants' roles. This makes it possible to examine learning, research and projects as parts of a changing shared working environment.
Research develops questions, hypotheses and methods. The resulting knowledge provides a basis for educational and technological decisions.

The university as a self-renewing system
University 5.0 treats research, technology, education and project practice as interdependent processes. Each produces something the others can use.
A research hypothesis leads to a technological tool. The tool enters the educational process. Capabilities are applied in projects. Practical findings return to research, providing grounds to revise the model.
The result is a recurring cycle of creating knowledge, developing people and testing decisions against the world beyond the institution.

The four University 5.0 contours
Four distinct functions form one connected architecture. Each produces an observable result and supplies inputs to other parts of the system.
Research, technology, education and projects act as interconnected productive processes. Each result becomes a resource for the next, while practical feedback revises the original hypotheses and organisational decisions.
From an event to the next version of the system
The process begins with an event, problem or change in the environment. Its meaning is examined and translated into a research, education or project task, then connected to the people, actions, results and competencies involved.
A change in science, technology, economics, society or the university itself produces a new context.
A new class of artificial-intelligence tools becomes available.
The essential unit of the model is the connection between an event, task, action and evidenced result. Courses, timetables, competencies, agents and analytics are organised around this connection.
EduOS Lad
EduOS Lad represents the operating layer of University 5.0. It connects events, tasks, knowledge, roles, individual learning pathways, competencies, AI agents, resources and information about the university's condition.
Lad is intended to coordinate work across participants and subsystems. Each task receives context, responsible parties, necessary resources, criteria for its results and connections to competence development.
- The system observes changes inside and outside the university and identifies the processes, programmes and participants affected.
- EduOS LadOperating layer of the model
The current work combines a conceptual architecture and an interactive university operating-system prototype. The demonstration environment illustrates the intended coordination of events, tasks, roles, competencies, AI agents and data; it is not presented as an institution-wide deployment.
The university's interactive model
The demonstration environment represents the University 5.0 architecture through connected interfaces. Visitors can examine a digital campus, educational processes, competencies, agents, cases, timetables and analytics.
The model shows links between these subsystems from the perspectives of students, educators, researchers and university management.

A shared architectural foundation
The first series establishes a common language for events, tasks, roles, competencies, data and decisions. EduOS coordinates processes, the digital twin represents their state, and analytics turns the results of activity into grounds for the next action.
How participants develop within University 5.0
Five studies cover the competence graph, personalised learning, everyday work, timetabling as orchestration and the integration of current events into education.
- 01
Competence graph
How tasks, actions, outcomes, criteria and contexts provide evidence of individual capabilities.
English article - 02
Personalised learning pathway
How verified results, goals, gaps and available roles shape the next educational step.

A student's day with EduOS Lad
How tasks, agents, lecturers, teams, schedules and resources come together in everyday work.
English article - 04
Timetabling as orchestration
Coordinating time, roles, spaces, equipment and dependencies around educational and project tasks.
English article - 05
Event-driven learning
Bringing changes in science, technology, economics and society into courses and project work.

Mechanisms of participant development
Work results provide evidence of competence. The competence graph reveals new possibilities; an individual pathway connects goals and tasks; timetabling coordinates time and resources; event-driven education connects learning to current research and projects.
How the university reproduces knowledge and updates its organisation
Three studies explain the recurring cycle of research, education and practical projects, responsible decisions and an incremental transition towards the target model.

Research → education → project → new research
How a research question becomes a learning module, project result, practical evidence and another research task.

The university as a developing institution
Research findings become educational and project tasks. Practical evidence prompts further research; responsibility, rules and authority shape decisions, while the outcomes of pilot projects update the university's architecture.
One connected University 5.0 architecture
The three series cover the university's operating architecture, the development of its participants and the institutional processes through which knowledge is reproduced and the system itself changes.
