Life+

An interactive exploration of life as a changing system

Life+ is my laboratory for health, recovery, longevity and everyday resilience. Here I develop and examine models that help preserve function, make decisions and revise the route when circumstances change.

I need a system that can withstand real life and be rebuilt when conditions change.

Health in the context of a real life

Sleep, food, movement and recovery interact with work, surroundings, relationships, finances, technology and available time. I examine health together with those conditions.

What often gets in the way
  • An idealised schedule
  • Discipline at any cost
  • One universal protocol
  • Perfect-lifestyle expectations
  • Motivational slogans
  • Ignoring ordinary constraints
What can help
  • Managed chaos
  • Adaptive protocols
  • Checkpoints and feedback
  • Rational balancing
  • Preservation of function
  • Time to reach future scientific milestones

From restless curiosity to a workable system

  1. Curiosity

I began with questions about the body, endurance and why people change in such different ways.

  2. Setbacks

Changes in weight, injuries and recovery repeatedly challenged rigid schedules and easy explanations.

  3. A system

Instead of demanding one perfect routine, I started using directions, observation points and room to revise the route.

Three foundations of the work

I

Managed chaos

A rigid system often collapses when life changes. Direction can instead be maintained through adaptable protocols and checkpoints.

II

Scientific checkpoints

The long-term research question is how to preserve function today while science develops. Possible future advances remain uncertain.

III

Returning function

Where possible, regain movement, clarity, autonomy, energy, dignity and the ability to act.

Where is your system today?

Choose five aspects of your current situation. The navigator suggests a starting point within this research laboratory.

Bazmed Life OS

Applied approaches to active life, recovery and care, drawing on selected Life+ ideas for products and services.

The common question is how to preserve active life and function and regain what can be regained.

Begin with one practical observation

Identify what currently limits action, choose one immediate issue and decide when to check again. The route can change with circumstances.

Connections

How the Life+ models relate

The author's path provides the context; managed chaos connects protocols with checkpoints; adaptive health is concerned with function; Life Engine identifies a mode; the environment defines constraints; scientific checkpoints form the long-term horizon.

All Life+ materials

Life+ is a personal research and educational project. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Discuss changes to treatment, physical activity, diet and other healthcare decisions with a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
