Perform

Perform is a period of demanding work in research, entrepreneurship, projects and public activity. For me it makes sense only when high workloads are supported by sleep, recovery and physical condition, rather than gradually consuming them.

·Working capacity is infrastructure, not something disposable. Physical and cognitive fitness support productive work and must not be exhausted by it.
·Perform relies on good condition rather than heroics. A resilient system produces results more reliably than constant emergency efforts.
·Periods of Perform need to alternate with Recover, or demanding work becomes a slow process of self-destruction.
·Plan demanding workloads around specific projects and research periods, not as a permanent background condition.
·Schedule work and recovery together: protect sleep, movement and opportunities to decompress as carefully as work sessions.
·Assess Perform through project and research outcomes, not hours spent or the appearance of being busy.
·Steady results in projects and research without increasing chronic fatigue.
·Clear thinking and the ability to work on complex, long-term tasks rather than just reacting to incoming requests.
·No persistent physical or cognitive 'debt' after intensive periods.
·Perform must not destroy Build or require ignoring the body's warning signs.
·Being busy is no substitute for Perform. The important measure is the result, not the hours.
